A few years ago, we were consulting to one a financial services client.  Experience we thought was on our side when introduced by a young digital guru (YDG).  When we ran through what we thought was the best customer engagement/retention strategy for the clients requirements, we were halted in a tracks by aforementioned YDG “… we are natives to the digital space, you are an immigrant – the view we have is relevant to the now rather than what happened in the past …”.  We didn’t quite know how to respond.  A few words sprang to mind, but that wouldn’t endear our solid strategy, which the client opted not to adopt.  That is until a few months later when YDG had moved on, perhaps to a new colony, or a new pedestal.

When writing this post, it was because to be current, we have to draw from our experience.  Yes perhaps it does becomes a moot point when we talk about our past clients / case studies but here is a simple fact – zero27 is not here to grab the low-hanging fruit.  We are here to provide solid digital strategic advice to our clients – no matter what if that advice is positive or negative – we are here to serve our client’s objectives and to earn our fees.  It’s a vision we like and frankly – we’ll allow the YDG’s of the world to shoot the lights out – it helps them gain experience.
