On Saturday at a dinner party, one of the guests made a really stupid comment “… The iPad is a toy …”. How profoundly stupid. What makes that statement even stupider is the fact that that individual has never used an iPad.

Now the point here is not that I have become the self-appointed defender of all that is Apple branded. No not by the longest stretch of the imagination, but how stupid can stupid get? And this applies to individuals who make this weird sweeping statements without ever have experienced the experience. How often have you heard how crap Windows mobile 7 is (maybe not too far off mark (whoops there I go)). Or how lousy Android is etc.

So here’s a bit of free advice to those who wish to make stupid statements – don’t. Have an open mind towards technology or whatever the hell it is what you want to make a sweeping statement about.
