About zero27

zero27 was formed back in 2001 on the tail of the dot com bomb.  Not as bad as it seems with Jamie Oliver being it’s very first client!  It was a difficult time in the history of the internet with the entire industry still reeling from the excesses of the preceding years.  Clients did not want to spend money.  Staff were still wondering where all the promises of untold wealth went.  As quickly as the BS brigade got involved in the industry – they were also the first to bail, leaving the few die-hards to persevere and take stock.

Leapfrog to 2012 and zero27 has undergone some changes, the biggest being in the way we undertake our unique bespoke software developments which are aimed at clients who:

  • Have a unique business requirement for software
  • Have a limited budget
  • Need rapid deployment

We use what we call an insourced outsource model of development – have refined the art of outsourced software development, we only maintain a core team and control the actual development phase by using international partners who over the years we have built an excellent working relationship.

Why the blog?

Blogging is great.  It has enormous benefits for the company, because it is a platform from which an opinion can be expressed.  zero27′s model of talking tech in plain English is highlighted with the blog.  This is why our clients engage us because we can give an opinion which may not neccessarily agree with their own views.  That is the magic of being a consulting company – we can express an opinion without the prospect of feeling that what we may say may be career limiting.
